In order for her to finally get promoted on her dream job, Reigndelle is forced to go to New York and interview the most sought-after eligible bachelor, a multi-billionaire youngest business man in history and her ex-boyfriend, Grey Christopher Al Gala. When she finally saw him again, Reigndelle told Grey her agenda. At first, because of hatred, Grey dumped her plea. But eventually agreed when Green Jacksville showed up in the picture after he rejected her. One agreement drove Reigndelle to live in Grey's mansion with him. And that is to become his own personal slave. A lot of things happened between them as they live together for thirty days that made the two broken hearts realize that they still love each other. But just when things are about to fall into places that Reigndelle was expecting to happen, she found out something. And that's when Grey's brother and his ex girlfriend showed up in the picture to complicate things even more between them. What will happen to their romantic yet complicated love story this time around? Will they still give each other a second chance? Or will they let that chance, slip away.. from their hands?
-NEW YORK CITY-
"Sir Grey, the medias are here again"
Grey Christopher's eyebrows eventually furrowed upon hearing that. 'Not again' he whispered in his thoughts and leaned his back on his swivel chair. Those medias have never failed to ruin his day since his name echoed on every social media sites, different network channels and different TV shows after he nailed the record of being the top two rank of the Top Ten Most Young Multi-Billionaire Bachelors in the entire world. And after that, rumors followed that among the said Top Ten Multi-Billionaire Bachelors, it was only him who couldn't be interviewed that easily. And he has no plan of being interviewed either. Come hell or high water.
"Tell the guards not to let them in no matter what, as usual," Grey firmly said.
"Okay, Sir. And, Sir, these are your schedules of your appointments--"
"Stop. Cancel them all."
"Huh? But why--"
"No 'Huh'. No 'But'. Just do as I say."
"O-Okay, Sir," Shannon said and slightly bowed down.
"Good. You may now leave," he ordered and she obliged.
And in his cozy and manly office, he was left alone again, thinking about those bunch of stupid medias outside the humungous and prestigious building of A.G. TOWER. Then he smirked insultingly. 'Huh! Journalists.. They're all but a bunch of stupid assholes who knows nothing but to invade people's privacy tsk' Grey said on his thoughts.
"You know what, Treasure? Being an amazing journalist, or a reporter or an anchor is what I always dreamed of. Do you think I can reach that dream of mine?"
"But of course, Treasure. You just have to believe in yourself for I always believe in you. And you will have my full support. I love you so much.."
She happily hugged him tight. "Thank you, Treasure! And I love you so much more."
Grey's smirk turned into a frown as memories from his painful past flashed on his mind and literally ruined his day even more. Then he scoffed. Huh! Journalists, mass media, reporters. How he hated those words and those persons behind those. Because they are only freaking common in two things: Invading one's life and once they're done, they'll leave and act like nothing happened as if they don't know you at all. With that thought, he sighed deeply and closed his eyes tightly. Those fools can never interview him until he dies. He loves privacy. And no one can ever invade his private life.
Not now, nor ever.
-PHILIPPINES-
"WHAT?! But, Ma'am, how can I possibly--"
"Yes you can possibly do that, Miss Alfiejo. For a smart-aleck journalist like you, I know you are perfectly fit for this assignment. Not to mention very optimistic and very much opinionated too. And don't you worry about your expenses, transportations, accomodations, everything. Because the company is willing to handle that with open arms. But in exchange, you are going to interview the most popular top two ranker, the Multi-Billionaire businessman and one of the most sought-after eligible bachelors not just in New York but in the entire world.. Mr. Grey Christopher Al Gala!" her publisher excitedly exclaimed with a super wide grin but that made Reigndelle's jaw drop in total shock. Because of all people, why Grey? Why him? Whyyyy??
"B-But, Ma'am, this assignment that you gave me is not that simple to comply with. Can't you see? G-Grey is not an ordinary man. He's a very well-known businessman and a very popular multi-billionaire of all ages. Multi-billionaire, Maam. Not just a billionaire but he's a Multi-billionaire," she said and she was almost close to saying "And he's my ex-boyfriend too!" But she didn't.
Ma'am Jane just smiled at her meaningfully. "Do you think I don't know that? That's why it is you that I assigned in this assignment because one of my bees buzzed me up that you and Mr. Al Gala.. Had a connection before. Small world right?" The publisher said teasefully and Reigndelle's eyes widened in disbelief. But no doubt, Ma'am Jane was talking about Trisha, her classmate in college and now her officemate. Her brows slightly furrowed. That girl. Tsk.
"That's why I think you are the best fit in this assignment because he knows you already. So once you get there, do everything to make him agree on your biggest assignment. Imagine the envied faces of other publishing companies and media once you will feature him finally together with your audio interview of him as a proof that you're the only one, of all journalists, of all reporters, has been given a chance by Mr. Grey Christopher Al Gala. Can you imagine its feedback? Our company would be more prestigious and famous than ever! And I promise you this, Miss Alfiejo. Once you accomplish this assignment with Mr. Multi-Billionaire, when you finally get home, I am finally going to promote you," her publisher said, which made her eyes ten times wider than her reaction earlier.
"Y-You are finally going to promote me?" Reigndelle asked with eyes beaming with joy.
"But of course! And that is one hundred percent sure. Go to New York. Interview Mr. Al Gala and poof! Your promotion here awaits you."
A promotion.. Her dream for six years in service. She has always been wanting to be promoted on the job ever since so she can buy a house near her workplace. Because a feature writer's salary is still not enough to buy the monthly maintenance medicines of her sick father, their daily needs and the monthly payment of their apartment. But the head of their company said she's not that good at making featured articles. It's a good thing her editor-in-chief has always been on her side for six long years, if not, she'd be forced to look for another publishing company. And for her, nothing is better than that company she's working with, because it has many benefits that actually help her father to live that long despite his condition. That's why she will do everything to be promoted already. But this point of getting her promotion seemed drastic. Because it's her ex-boyfriend they're talking about now.
She sighed.
"B-But, Ma'am, what if he really doesn't want to be interviewed?"
"Then I'm sorry to tell you this, Miss Alfiejo, but I'll be forced to expunge your column myself."
Her eyes widened in total shock. Expunge her column? No way!
"W-What? But,Ma'am, I'm sure you know that Mr. Gala had dumped many different medias in different countries, even Forbes Magazine--
"And I'm sure you want to be promoted too, right? And you don't want me to expunge your beloved column too, am I right again?"
Reigndelle went silent upon hearing that. Then millions of "what if's" were teasingly wandering in her mind at that time. Like, what if he's still mad at her? What if he won't let her talk to him again? Will he be happy to see her? Or will he be more happy to send her out from his office after yelling at her when she tells him her agenda?
But whatever that is, she's willing to jump even into the highest falls just to get that promotion and give her father a better life finally. She is willing to do that. By hook or by crook.
"So what's it gonna be, Miss Alfiejo?"
Do we have a deal?"
She sighed. Well.. It's now or never. Then Reigndelle inhaled deeply and exhaled sharply then said..
"Alright. When's my flight?"
