Everyone says that CEO Anderson is a formidable figure in the Kingdom of Alssta, someone not to be trifled with. His name alone inspires fear, and those who see him instinctively bow and lower their heads. Some even claim that CEO Anderson's home is a den of dragons and tigers, filled with corpses and bones. Rumor has it that the young bride, who was married off in her sister's place, has already died... When they meet again, CEO Anderson flashes a menacing smile and takes out...
Third-Person POV:
On a stormy night filled with thunder and lightning, the wind howled violently.
Five cars sped down the highway, their tires slicing through puddles and leaving trails of water in their wake. The engines roared, their growls cutting through the sound of the heavy rain.
Inside the car in the center of the convoy, a blond-haired man sitting in the passenger seat leaned back, turning his head to observe the unconscious girl lying in the back seat.
The girl wore a wedding dress, the neckline revealing her fair neck and slender arms. Her hair fell loosely over her face, concealing her features. Even without seeing her face clearly, it was evident that her figure was stunning.
"Brother Hunter, is this the eldest daughter of the Bailey family?" the blond-haired man asked in a cheeky tone.
The man addressed as Hunter, who was driving the car, replied coldly, "Yes."
"Her figure's impressive, and her skin's so fair-her face probably isn't bad either. Too bad she's going to end up with our CEO Anderson," the blond-haired man lamented, shaking his head. Still, his eyes lingered lecherously on the girl.
"Ronan, keep those disgusting eyes of yours in check!" Hunter shot him a sharp glare. "If she survives tonight, she'll become CEO Anderson's wife-our sister-in-law. Watch your head if you cross the line."
Ronan scoffed dismissively.
Sister-in-law?
Wasn't she just a girl sent to please CEO Anderson?
Calling her a wife or sister-in-law was putting it nicely. In truth, she was just there to warm his bed. Whether she could even survive the night was still uncertain.
Everyone in Alchimie City knew that CEO Anderson was a ruthless and decisive man, feared for his brutal and cold-blooded methods. No one dared to provoke him.
Yet, despite his reputation, there were always people bold-or foolish-enough to send women his way. CEO Anderson had never held any regard for such "bed warmers." Many ended up either dead or crippled.
*Sister-in-law? Let her make it through tonight first before we start calling her that.*
"Mm..."
A faint groan came from the back seat. The girl stirred and slowly opened her eyes.
Those were bright, dark eyes, blinking in confusion.
"Where... am I?" she asked softly.
"Well, well, Miss Bailey, you're awake?" Ronan whistled playfully.
Then, as he finally got a good look at her face, he froze.
The girl sat up and brushed her hair back, revealing an exquisitely delicate face.
Her skin was as pale as jade, her lips a luscious red, alluring beyond reason. A small beauty mark beneath her right eye added a touch of irresistible charm.
She was breathtakingly beautiful, an almost aggressive kind of beauty that demanded attention. Even though her expression was dazed, it was enough to unsettle anyone's heart. The pristine white wedding dress she wore accentuated her perfect curves.
A beauty like this... truly a pity.
Rosy's POV:
As I sat in the car, my mind raced with questions. Where was I being taken? Who were these people? I narrowed my eyes at the men in the front seats and demanded, "Who are you? Where are you taking me?"
The man who seemed to be in charge turned slightly, a smirk playing on his lips. "Miss Bailey, we're with CEO Anderson. We're taking you to meet him now," he said, his tone laced with mockery.
My eyes widened, the air catching in my lungs. CEO Anderson? Fear rippled through me.
No one in Alchimie City didn't know about CEO Anderson-the man they called the Black-Faced Reaper. Rumors painted him as a ruthless tyrant, one who fed his enemies to the venomous snakes he bred in his mansion's backyard.
"You've got the wrong person," I said, clutching my hands tightly in my lap to steady their trembling. "I don't know your CEO Anderson."
This morning, my father had summoned me back to the Bailey family home from the countryside, a rare occurrence. After a quiet meal, I'd found myself ushered into this car without explanation.
"There's no mistake," the man named Ronan replied with a sneer. "Your father struck a deal to save the Bailey family's finances. He arranged a marriage between you, the eldest daughter, and our CEO."
Marriage? For financial reasons? The words hit me like a slap.
So this was why the Bailey family, who had ignored me for over a decade, suddenly showed interest in bringing me back. It wasn't affection-it was to trade me as a pawn in their schemes.
"Stop the car!" I shouted, trying to push the door open. "You've got the wrong person! I'm not the Bailey family's daughter! They tricked you! Let me out!"
But the doors wouldn't budge, and the windows were locked tight. I pounded on the glass, screaming, "Stop! Let me out! If you take me to him, CEO Anderson will blame you when he finds out the truth!"
"Shut up," Ronan snapped, his voice hardening. "Whether you're truly Miss Bailey or not, you're in CEO Anderson's car now. That makes you his. Stay quiet if you value your life. If you anger him... well, you'll find out firsthand what happens."
His words struck a chord of terror in me. I froze, clutching the hem of the wedding dress I'd been forced into. My silence was born not of compliance but of raw fear. These men, with their cold eyes and sharp suits, exuded danger.
The car came to a halt, and I was roughly escorted into a grand mansion. My heels echoed on the marble floors as I was brought to a vast, oppressively silent living room. I felt my heartbeat quicken, my palms clammy against the fabric of my dress.
Then, I saw him.
CEO Anderson stood at the far end of the room, his tall frame radiating a chilling aura. His dark eyes locked onto mine, devoid of warmth, cold as death itself. My knees threatened to buckle, but I forced myself to remain upright.
"CEO Anderson," Ronan announced, breaking the heavy silence. "This is Miss Bailey."
I wanted to protest, to tell him I wasn't the Bailey family's eldest daughter, but the words died in my throat under the weight of his gaze. He studied me as if assessing my worth-or deciding my fate.
Finally, he spoke, his deep voice resonating through the room. "Come here." He motioned with a single, commanding finger.
Every instinct screamed at me to run, but my legs moved on their own, carrying me forward into the lion's den.
