She cannot accept the he is her mate. She hates having a mate, but can their bond and a little spice of seduction can change her mind?
"What do you think this was all about?" Lennon asked.
As he rubbed his weary hazel eyes. His beautiful brown hair was a little bit messy as if he had just woken up and gotten out of bed. I gave him a shrug. We received a call from Alpha Kylian earlier this morning for a scheduled meeting. My presence was relevant, because I am a commander, Lennon was also one and Augustus is the only other buddy I have.
A chuckle came from Augustus.
"Someone had a good time last night. Come on, Lenn, who was it? Is it Emery? Is she Alleah?" Augustus was making fun of Lenn, I rolled my eyes at both of them.
My fellow pack members were never close to me at any point. When I initially met them, I was under the impression that they were envious of me, but I later discovered that they are terrified of me. Isn't that really bonkers? On the other hand, I was the friendliest person you could ever hope to meet, but I can't say the same thing about Ava. Ava is my wolf, in case you were wondering who she is. Oh, now you know. It is undeniable that she is scary. As well as horrifying when it is required. She is going to make you lament the fact that you ever irritated her.
With the nature of our work it is required to become a fighter. And to add insult to my situation, I happen to be a female. We must continue to demonstrate our worth, or else people will disrespectfully view women. I am not one to easily accept a challenge.
I take pride in the fact that I battled for and earned the respect of my pack using my own efforts.
We are waiting in the office of the Alpha, along with Beta Eliam, who is like my best friend and a brother, and two other Commanders. The future Alpha Augustus is also present in the office that we are in. In accordance with the situation, commanders lead pack warriors and issue orders. They hold the same position as Gamma, which is the third-in-command position in the hierarchy of werewolves.
After entering through the enormous oak doors, Alpha Kylian appeared with long black hair that was disordered and an expression of concern on his face. Under his brilliant, amber eyes, I can see black circles that are there. I was immediately aware that something was not quite right. Nevertheless, I did not express my thoughts. My patience paid off as I waited for the Alpha to speak.
"I will be present at the Annual Council meeting in the same manner that I do every year. It would be great if Augustus and Prima could accompany me. Until we return, Eliam, you are responsible for taking care of the pack. To all of the warriors, please watch over the pack with caution." Everyone took a nod in response to Alpha Kylian's command.
"This year's meeting is held in the Dark Talon pack."
From what I've heard, the Dark Talon pack is the most powerful pack in the United States, and its Warriors are extremely powerful. It is stated that their Alpha is the most powerful and vicious of all the members.
"Don't be concerned, Alpha. I will see to it that everything is taken care of here," Beta Eliam said.
"I am sure you will." Alpha Kylian gave a slight nod.
"Alpha, don't you think it's better to take a few more warriors with you?" It was suggested by Beta Eliam.
"I will be bringing Prima along with me. She is the very finest of the very best that we all have. I have no doubt that everything will work out alright." A grin appeared on my face as Alpha Kylian turned towards me.
"That's because I've got the best teacher," I remarked in a matter-of-fact tone, and Alpha Kylian laughed.
There was no one who cared for me when I was ten years old and abandoned. I was very alone during my initial change, and it was such a difficult experience. In addition to the fact that I had already been labeled a rogue, I had no knowledge whatsoever about the werewolves.
Due to the fact that I was being pursued by a cruel rogue when I was thirteen years old, I violated the rules of the Lycan Blood pack. Alpha Kylian allowed me to become a member of his pack and trained me by himself. I think of him as my father figure.
Due to the fact that the bypass road was closed as a result of an accident, we were forced to take the more time-consuming route in order to arrive at Dark Talon Pack. This took us two hours in the car. As soon as we entered the Dark Talon pack, my wolf Ava became anxious and restless; she was uncomfortable. I was experiencing a severe headache as a result of Ava's constant chattering in my head.
"What is wrong with you?" I inquired about it.
Despite my best efforts, I have yet to receive a response. Therefore, I stopped paying any attention to her after that.
When I gazed out the window, I came to the realization that we had arrived at the pack house. As soon as the vehicle came to a stop in front of the pack house, I exited the vehicle and walked out.
I felt a restless stirring within me. My eyes rolled inwardly as I dove in.
"Ava, are you having a psychotic break?" I inquired in a mocking manner.
I heard Ava snarl at me. On the other hand, just as I was ready to give her a piece of my mind, a couple of pack members suddenly appeared before us.
With large brown eyes and black hair, a man approached us and walked towards us. He appeared to be adorable and engaging. Boyish in nature. I am willing to bet that he is 19 years old at age.
"Hi, I'm Felix, the Gamma of this pack." He introduced.
During the course of his introduction, he cast a few sly glances in my direction, more notably at my neck. It appears that he is hunting for a mark that I do not possess. Still waiting. It is only a few hours until the meeting.
"All your rooms have been reserved for you so you may get some rest before the conference."
Both Augustus and Alpha Kylian gave a nod.
They were led to their quarters by two of the other members of the pack. My footsteps began to follow behind them.
"Hey!" Felix called.
As he scratched the back of his neck, Felix made the statement. In the same way, as Augustus did, he appeared adorable when he was embarrassed. Despite this, I am able to feel his might.
"Hi," I responded.
"Come on, I'll show you to your room." As I entered the pack house, he brought me inside.
"Yeah, sure." As he entered the pack house, I followed him in. How enormous is it? The size of our pack house could be better. I mean, Dark Talon was the most powerful and largest pack, so it makes perfect sense that they would be as such.
"What's your name?" Felix asked me.
"Prima," I responded with a grin on my face.
The interior of the pack house is exceptionally lovely. Everything in this place appeared to be of high quality and pricey. A lavish affair. The living room is filled with a large number of women and children who are chatting and playing together. It appeared to be very animated.
"Is it true that you are the daughter of Alpha Kylian?" Felix couldn't help but notice that I don't resemble Alpha Kylian at all.
"It is not true; I am a Pack Warrior. In point of fact, a Commander. On the other hand, Alpha Kylian is like a parent to me." Despite his delighted expression, he nodded his head.
When we reached the second floor, we continued our trip down the corridor in complete stillness. When I approached him, he stopped in front of a wooden door and opened it for me.
"Before the meeting begins, make sure you get some rest. Within the next five minutes, I will put someone in charge of bringing your bags." Felix uttered those words before turning around.
Immediately after closing the door, I hopped on the bed, and as soon as I closed my eyes, I fell asleep. The pointless car ride left me absolutely and utterly weary. Despite the fact that we ought to have rushed here, Alpha Kylian advised us to hold off on shifting until the meeting was finished. The other members of the pack may be in danger if we do not move accordingly. Each and every one of these get-togethers is always like that.
Following a pleasant little nap, I awoke, took a brief shower, and then made my way downstairs in the direction of the hall where the council meetings were convening. I arrived at the location, but by the time I did, Alpha Kylian and Augustus had already taken their seats at the table that was set aside for our pack. After making my way towards the table, I sat down next to Alpha Kylian.
My voice was hardly audible as I murmured, "I am sorry, I am late."
"I don't mind. There are still a few minutes left until the meeting is scheduled to begin." Alpha Kylian laughed heartily. I gave a slight nod.
I noticed that Felix was waving at me after a few minutes had passed, I smiled and waved back at him. After that, his eyes become glassy, which indicated that he was mind-linking with another individual.
Ava yipped and proceeded to leap around in my thoughts like a crazed dog.
"What are you doing? Please stop what you're doing. My head is starting to hurt because of you." It was a snap.
I heard her growl at me.
"What the fuck is wrong with you?" My query was met with yet another growl from the animal.
While I was thinking, I rolled my eyes.
Alpha Kylian's eyebrows wrinkled, showing that he was perplexed by the situation.
"What's wrong?" He asked.
The internal rolling of my eyes did not occur. Having said that, I pondered. I was also the subject of Augustus's interested gaze. There are times when they both appear to be identical, with the same eyes and hair. Just like Alpha Kylian, Augustus is a younger version of him.
I gave a slight shake of my head.
"The one named Ava is giving me a terrible headache dealing with her." I explained.
Alpha Kylian laughed and glanced at me with a sly grin on his face.
"She is so restless and prancing in my head all day." I added.
The gentle smile he gave me was followed by a stroke on the shoulders.
"She growled at me for the first time." I was displeased.
After that, he gave me a head pat while smiling as if I were a young girl. I frowned.
"What exactly is going on? Do you have any idea why she is acting in such a manner for any reason?" Alpha Kylian asked.
An incredible, mouth-watering aroma of sandalwood and a hint of earthy forest hit me like a ton of bricks as he opened his mouth to give me a response. I had never experienced anything quite like it. The entrance to the meeting room was opened to a broad opening.
A tall, gorgeous man with stormy blue eyes, a strong, sharp jaw, and a straight nose stood there. He had a straight nose. The appearance of his large lips was so warm and welcoming. Because of the clothing he was wearing, his big shoulder and torso muscles are very obvious to the naked eye. As soon as I made eye contact with this wonderful man, it was as if the entire universe had come to a complete halt for thirty seconds.
When I heard Ava wailing and screaming in my head, I momentarily forgot how to breathe. I was completely exhausted.
