A fresh from high school introverted nerd loves her space and she cherishes being alone than being around friends. All that changes when she is pulled in by her musical neighbor and they get to know each other better causing her to break out of her cocoon. A relationship born purely of attraction gets more sinful and hard to handle on both ends as the rollercoaster of emotions leaves them both devastated and disappointed,
She was exhausted, from carrying her bags down the long route down from the entrance gate of the gated community, to her small servants quarter that she had graciously accepted since it was close to campus. Peris was so happy to be finally free from the clutches of her strict parents and to start her own life away from them, even if just for a few years as she was taking a degree. She cleaned the house and unpacked her bags making sure to neatly put away all her things. She wanted to make sure that everything she had was where she wanted it and she liked to somehow claim to have OCD.
She then prepared herself some cup noodles as she felt she did not have enough energy to make anything better. It was already getting late and she knew her best shot at being able to get to campus early would have been if she was able to wake up early. She set aside her uniform for the day and made sure her shoes were clean and ready before she laid in between her sheet and covers. She felt exhausted but she knew that she couldn't easily fall asleep till her body was used to the novelty of the environment she had unceremoniously forced it into.
She was almost falling asleep when she heard a sweet melodious tune playing from outside and wafting into her eager ears. She found herself sitting up and waiting to hear more from the person playing. She sat up on her bed and started singing to the tune of maroon 5's song memories since it was the one that the person was playing. She could easily tell that it was a piano since whoever was playing kept making mistakes and correcting himself over and over again. She enjoyed it thoroughly especially when she heard the amended song. She desired to know who the person behind the tune was. Even longer after the tune had stopped she found herself thinking about it and her curiosity for the whole situation grew tenfold. Peris found herself getting up from the bed and sitting at her small study table thinking of how she would be able to express what she felt at that time. Somehow her hearts strings were pulling her towards the heart of the music and it made her grow a deep interest towards hearing it again. She took out a note pad and pen and started writing to the person next door.
Peris had no intention of ever sending the mail or even letting the person know what she was doing. All she wanted was to let the emotions that had started crowding her heart go. She let herself rethink her decision for a minute but then after that she felt okay with it and so she decided to let her fingers glide over the paper as she thought of the praises she wanted to accord to the person on the receiving end. She picked up her pen and started writing.
"Dear, Anonymous.
I do not know you but my heart does know you. From the way the music plays from your end I can tell you are an efficient person. I can only imagine the number of other things your are efficient in aside from playing the piano. The music you play feels like it comes from your heart and it has me so hyped to meet you. To get to know who you are, whether you are a man or a woman. I would like to know of the piano is the only thing you play or there's other things you are interested in. Luckily for me, I have a very long time to get to know all that. I've just gotten here and I can say you won my heart. It is safe to say that every night i'll be looking forward to hearing you play your heart out and win mine over.
I have no idea why I'm writing this and I'll never send it. I do not have a name for you or even a gender. I have no idea if we have anything in common aside from the love of music. I am so excited because I have more than a year to get to know about it. I get to know whether you are a man or woman but that doesn't matter because I already love you. I already think of you as one of those people that I need to be friends with.
Lord knows I am already imagining how you are stroking the keys on your instrument as though they are your favorite child and taking time to love on it and rectify your errors on it. I can picture the little wrinkles on your face forming as a result of avid concentration. My mind creates scenario after scenario of the music sheets spread in front of you and your eyes quickly being followed by your fingers.
I have a feeling that I will get to meet you. I will get to know whether you are a man or a woman. I will get to understand how you play your music and maybe I will be visiting your house once in a while. I have a question for you though. Do you want to be friends? I would love to be your friend myself.
till next time
love
Peris."
Satisfied with what she had written, she tore the page off from her notepad and folded it in half. She looked at it and smiled before placing a kiss on it. She then took a shoebox of her belongings from her childhood and placed the small note in there. She felt confident that it was safe in the small box of her secrets. She then put her desk light off and then made it to her bed. This time she was so exhausted that she fell asleep, but with a smile on her face. She was happy this time, exhausted and happy.
The conventional love story would have been convenient but not for us. One of us has to hurt the other doesn't. One has to make a radical shift and the other doesn't. At least not in the way I expect it to be. It takes thirty days to make you fall in love but it will be less for us. What's more, you will fall deeper than me. So instead of trying to conform to the rules, let us use those thirty days to establish our rules and hide the secrets of our past and present from the hawk eyes watching us. Let us live while we have it in us. *** "Its a dark world. But you bring light to it." I whisper while letting my hands that have dried blood on them, touch her face. She grimaces, almost shrinking back but I will not let that happen. I bring one of my hands around her waist pulling her form closer to me. She can't escape me, escape this. Especially not when she has already seen how gruesome it is. "Kai," her voice trembles a little when she says my name but I do not bring myself to care, maybe because my mind is all round the way her name sounds in her lips. Fascination ricochets all through my veins reminding me just how much my name from her lips sounds like sweet nectar to a bee.

"Ahh!" She was in a moaning mess. She did not want to feel anything for this man. She hated him. His hands began to move all over her body. She gasped when he pulled down the back chain of her dress. The chain stopped at her lower waist, so when he zipped it off, her upper back and waist were exposed. "D-Don't touch m-ummm!" His fingers rolled around her bare back, and she pressed her head against the pillow. His touches were giving her goosebumps all over her body. With a deep angry voice, he whispered in her ear, "I am going to make you forget his touches, kisses, and everything. Every time you touch another man, you will only think of me." - - - Ava Adler was a nerdy omega. People bullied her because they thought she was ugly and unattractive.
