Glory was ready to just give up. To end everything when she was told to prepare a feast. A new alpha was coming to visit the pack. He was the son of Lincoln's father's former beta. He wanted to challenge Lincoln for the pack. He was tired of watching Lincoln destroy the pack his father once called family. He wanted to end Lincoln.
Prologue
Glory always thought being a part of a pack meant she was part of a family. Man, how wrong she was. Once her father passed away, she was moved into the pack house. Her father and the new alpha's father had once been friends so he promised her father on his death bed he would take in his daughter. Glory hoped Lincoln was a good man like his father had been. Sadly, he was nothing like his father.
Lincoln was cruel, and treated Glory like she was his servant. She cooked and cleaned for everyone in the pack house. She slept in the basement away from everyone on an old mattress while everyone else had new furniture and an amazing bedroom. She cooked these huge meals yet was only given scraps to eat. She was treated like a dog, and soon began to hate the pack.
She wanted to escape, but knew it wasn't possible. The one time she had tried Lincoln found her and beat her almost to death. He wouldn't allow her to shift either. She had the scars all over her body as a reminder of that night. He had total control over her. The only way she would be free of him is if one of them was dead. Sadly, she knew it would most likely be here that died.
She never thought this was what her life would become. She once had so many dreams. Now she is plagued by her never-ending nightmare. She wonders if she should just end it all. It would be better than living the life she was being forced to live.
Could this be the change Glory needed? Would the new alpha be kind, and caring? Could he really stop Lincoln? Glory's mind was running non-stop with the what ifs. If Lincoln won, he would be unstoppable. No one would dare challenge him again. This was her last hope. Her last chance to possibly be free.

Drew bought land and started his own pack and swore one day he would get revenge. His father died shortly after being tossed out, and he has hated Lincoln feeling he caused his father's death.
He didn't wait for Lincoln to come to him. He sent word he was on his way to challenge the alpha. He would do everything in his power to win. He heard how Lincoln was, and knew he needed to be stopped. He would win and take over Lincoln's pack. He just hoped there was still some good in his former pack.
He was doing this for his father. So, he could get the closure he knew he needed to move on. Once Drew knocked Lincoln off his thrown, he could focus on other things. Like finding a mate, and finally starting a family. He knew he couldn't have any of that until Lincoln was out of the way for good.
